Flashback to 2002...
In the corner of our kitchen with simple wood mold, a stock pot and few oils, Indulgent Creations was born.
April started small creating many batches of soap and adjusting her recipes for over a year before she finally found the perfect combination we have all come to love.
We started small with our local farmers market and crafts shows and from there things just grew.
Flash forward to today we now have a complete soap kitchen in the basement of our home. We still use wood molds, stock pots and many wonderful oils. April still makes each and every batch by hand. Her artistic talents create some truly amazing soap and bath products.
Our handmade artisan soap begin with the collection and filtration of our Illinois rainwater. We use rainwater to make our handmade soap because it's soft water and a natural resource adding uniqueness to our soap.
We live in east central Illinois and strongly support our farming community. April designed her recipe to utilize locally grown resources. Our soaps include a blend of tallow, lard, soybean and corn oils for this reason (not the only oils used). Our candles are all soy.
We do our best to keep our soap as close to natural as possible utilizing clays, oxides and ultramarines for coloring, blends of botanicals and herbs. Our soaps are scented with cosmetic grade fragrance oils and essential oils.
